Bring your kids to work day!

Today was Shimano's bring your kids to work day. It's aimed more for the older kids, so they get a good picture of what parents do at work. So, Jenny brought the kids by at the end of the day. All the kids got goodie back packs filled with toys and other nice things. Megan loved her Livestrong bracelet! Connor just loved walking around. I think Jenny had fun too. I hope so, cause I loved having the kids there!

Fat guy with little kids (sung in the voice of Chris Farley as Tommy Boy when he was wearing Richard's jacket). I didn't realize that I walk funny, now just look at me, I have a hunch back, and I'm bowlegged, plus I have wrinkled elbows. It's a good thing the kids are cute so everyone didn't stare at me. Posted by Hello

Connor loved playing the "Poor the water into the big red bucket" game with Beth. Posted by Hello

Megan loved her back pack, and wore her visitors badge for the rest of the day. She didn't take it off untill she went to bed. She even wore her Livestrong bracelet to bed. Posted by Hello

During outside time for Jenny's pre-school the kids decided to collect all the snails in the back yard. That saved me about $50 from buying the new improved bottle of Snail Be Gone! Posted by Hello

The Largest home swing set in the world!

I know you all have been waiting for photos of this, well you will still need to wait for the final pictures which should happen Saturday. Any who, like I said this thing is big. The kids love it, and it's been worth the investment even without the swings installed.

Here is the first photo of the swing set. I haven't run the electrical yet, but this thing comes with satelite TV with TiVo it's awesome. I love Sam's Club! Posted by Hello

Jungle Gym

Well we broke down and bought the largest swing set in the world. It was on sale at Sam's Club, and you know how the portions are extremely large at Sam's, well just imagine how large the swing set is. Any who, I worked on it for 11 hours yesterday. My friend Chad came and helped me get started. I'm sure thankful he offered to help, that thing would have been a nightmare for me to do by myself. Chad kept saying, "This thing sure is sturdy. It's impressive." So every time we finished a step, I would say the above statement. Maybe it was only funny to me. Any who, photos to follow.

Cycling

Well, I have now ridden a bike more in the past week and a half than I did all last year. I've been mountain biking 3 times, and we rode our cruisers last Saturday. I have to keep this up, or else I will have health problems. Hopefully I can loose 20 or 30 pounds this year.
Any who, my sister Kira is down from Utah, so I'm sure we will have some more photos to post tomorrow.

Nexus Ride!

We went for a bike ride today with a test group of riders from my work (Shimano). Jan and Jon are some of the test riders, and we tagged along for the ride. We rode from Dana Point to the Mission in San Juan Capistrano. It was fun, even though we had a head wind both ways, I've never understood how that works, but it always seems to happen when we ride at the beach. Jan and Jon had so much fun that they want to do it again in a few weeks. I'm thinking we'll do it too, there are tons of parks the kids can play at, and there is a "bunny farm" as Megan calls it! It's a petting farm, and it has a ton of bunnies! I'm looking forward to the park, there is one that has a small climbing wall that looks real fun. Enjoy the photos!

The loves of my life! Posted by Hello

Check out these fish, they must have been blessed by some Saint or something, look how they have a special Holy glow. Posted by Hello

Megan, just as happy as can be, well she'd be happier if this was a real horse! Posted by Hello

Connor, tired from riding in the trailer just wanted to sit down and eat some lunch at this point. He loved getting those fish though! Posted by Hello

MTB Ride

Well, I went on my first MTB ride in a long time. I am soo out of shape! But it's good to be around people who want to ride again. We went to Whiting Ranch, the place is a mess since the rains, but it was worth it. Can't wait till I go again!

Jury Duty

Well I served my time and won't be called back for at least a year. I've always been able to get out of doing Jury Duty, but for once in my life I work for a "Real Company". One with real benefits one that cares about people, and the community where they live. Shimano pays up to 10 days of jury duty, for once I looked forward to serving. I was selected in a group headed for jury selection. I got to sit around in uncomfortable chairs all day, then we were released at 3:00. I wish I could have been on a jury; however, I wasn't looking forward to the mountain of work that builds up when I am absent. Other than the chairs, today was a great day!

Our trip to San Jacinto!

We have been talking about doing this for some time. Palm Springs is the perfect temperature right now. And we couldn't have picked a better weekend to head down there. If only I didn't get a migraine headache, it would have been more than perfect. The kids had soo much fun. Ethan has a new found appreciation for dogs, as does Megan who saw the hole thing. Talk to Aaron for more details.
Connor and Megan played so cute on the car ride out, but were worn out for the ride home. I'd have to say that if you live in CA, and haven't done this tram ride, you better. I'm sure anytime of year it will look awesome up there! Check out the photos from our trip!

1... 2... 5! Connor counts down! Let's go Mom! Posted by Hello

LumberJackskelington, and family. When we left Palm Springs it was 80, at the top it was about 50. The weather couldn't have been better. I think we may make this a tradition! Posted by Hello

We took the tram ride to the top of San Jacinto. It was beautifull. Sarah, Aaron, Ethan, and Isaac. Posted by Hello

And the CRAZY kids in this on! Posted by Hello

Our trip to Palm Springs with Aaron and Sarah was great. Here are the tired normal kids in this picture. Posted by Hello
