Our Brace Face

Megan was so excited to get braces until the next day when she realized that they hurt.  Poor thing.

Mother's Day

Me and my mom

Cleaning the church building

My girls were such good sports about cleaning the church building that I snuck a picture of their happy faces.  They were a good example to me that day, to do service with a smile.

Spa day for mom

For Mallory's last week of school they had a mommy spa day.  Mallory got to do my hair, my make-up, paint my nails and toes, and massage my feet.  It was a very fun morning.  I went to preschool afterwards and my preschool kids loved seeing my fun hair and toenails.

Rock Chamber at Chandler's Centennial Celebration

My dad formed a band named Rock Chamber and their very first gig was at a park in Chandler for Chandler's Centennial Celebration.  I was so proud seeing my dad rock out on the guitar and as an added bonus, they sounded really good too.

Rudy's

My aunt and cousin came to town and we went to Rudy's for dinner.
It was so fun to see them!  Mallory absolutely adored my cousin, Janet,
and was her shadow for their entire trip.

Connor the Catcher

Connor found a position that he really enjoys: catcher.
And maybe it's just because I'm a mom, but I think he's so cute.

Soccer and Honor roll

Megan had a great soccer team this year.  Their name was Maroon 13.
This is the end of the season party and Megan getting her award.

Megan at the honor assembly for 6th grade.  She had all A's and only 1 B all year.

We can do hard things!

This was taken after Megan had completed a 14.25 mile walk to the Gilbert Temple.  Yes, she thought it was important to add the .25.  The young women at church were inspired to do this walk after learning about a man who walked miles to the temple every day.  Their motto is: we can do hard things.  And they sure did.  It was one of the hottest days in April we've ever had, over 100 degrees.  I'm so proud of Megan for completing this goal.

Birthday

My sweet friends Danielle and Michelle took me out to lunch for my birthday.  Danielle just moved to Oklahoma and I'm really going to miss her!

Girl time

Mallory said, "Mom, I look so old with my hair like this."
Her "grown-up" pose cracks me up.

Art Masterpiece

I volunteered to teach Art Masterpiece in Connor's classroom this year.  The first time I did it, I was super nervous, but it's super fun to do!  We learned about lots of fun artists and I got to do art with the kids.

Mallory and Amelia Bedelia

Mallory got the book "Amelia Bedelia's First Apple Pie", and after reading it she absolutely had to make her own apple pie.  Luckily for us, we had lots of apples already.  We followed the recipe in the back of the book and it turned out very tasty.
