The California Poppy is back!

The hills surrounding our home are swollen with flowers. We live in a desert and when it rains for an extended period of time the hills turn green with new growth and these California Poppy's show up everywhere. They are just beautiful. There are also some purple flowers high up on the hills - too far to walk up to, but the ones close to the roads served their purpose today, as we got some fantastic photos of the kids. Unfortunately we can rarely get all 3 of them to look into the camera all at the same time. One day, I'll get some skills and figure out how to cut and paste their heads into one nice family photo.

It's always fun to visit your blog and see what you guys are up to. Those are the perfect spring pictures! Here in Texas, the thing to do is take pictures amongst the bluebonnet wildflowers. We haven't done that yet, and we don't say "y'all," so I guess we're not yet true Texans.

This seemed like the best way to answer your question about the LDS Tour guides since I don't have your e-mail address. I think there are LDS Tour guides at each Mayan Ruin Site. Another LDS couple on our cruise knew to ask for one, and we were lucky enough to overhear the conversation and join them. This is our tour guide's website: http://www.ldstoursmosiah.com/ He sets up private tours on the Yucutan Peninsula as well. He was very knowledgeable and made our tour of Tulum one of the highlights of our vacation. I hope you get to go! We'd go back to that part of Mexico in a hearbeat and would love to see more ruins. Check out Xel-Ha waterpark, too, if you go--it looks awesome.
