Radiohead!

We got to see Radiohead this year!
It was fantastic, the setlist was awesome! They played all my favorites, and from what I hear, the Monday night show was better than the night before... Jenny and I had a great time, thanks to Courtney for watching the kids.

Connor and the largest pokeiest Pinecone.

I took Connor camping this past weekend. I was going up with the kids from Church. We had a good time, but I had to drive far too slow on the mountain roads... Connor almost barfed...

Connor's favorite pose - standing on a tree stomp as he likes to call them...

He found an extremley large pine cone that had "sharps" all over it. He said "We meed to take this home to show mom" - meed is of course need, but that's how he says it...

First Day of School

Megan's first day of 3rd grade was Wednesday the 13th. She of course was a little nervous, but very excited! I still can't believe I have an 8 year old daughter! I love it!

When we pulled into the parking lot, Connor asked how would he get out of the car with his back pack on... I told him that you are supposed to put the backpack on out side, he laughed and said, of course! I couldn't get out of the car fast enough! Connor was out of the car and up the side walk by the time I locked the car.

Just waiting for the teaching to begin!

Listen closely to how Connor answers my question of what he is doing today...

Lined up and ready to learn!

Connor has the HOTS for the tooth fairy!

For the past week I've been threatening Connor that I would tie his tooth to a string, then tie that string to the car, and drive away with his tooth - he didn't like that idea at all.

So today he wiggled it till it started to bleed, so I yanked it out for him.

Here he is calling his mother to tell her all about it.

Jenny has the runs!

I mean, Jenny likes to run!
The past year Jenny has slowly worked her way up to running 5 or 6 miles a night - about 3 or 4 times a week. Now she thinks she is cool (cooler than I am) and she has started running in some fun runs around the area. Today she bested her time by 5 min, and even beat Aaron my sisters husband by a few seconds.

GOOD JOB JENNY!

Jimmy Eat's Jenny

Jenny's New Year resolution to have more fun in 2008 is really working out. She committed to seeing more live concerts this year, and we are making the most of it. We went to see Jimmy Eat World play at the Vine Theater, it was fantastic - the Vine is a small venue and we had an excellent view point. Dear and The Headlights opened up for them again, they sound good, not sure if they are my style though.

You know with a double chin like that, it has to be good.

You know I'm cool!

We were about 50ft from the stage, it was fantastic!

Zion's National Park

I was able to spend a week in Zion - July 12th to the 18th. It was beautiful to say the least. I went with the young men of our ward, we had 10 boys on the trip and 8 leaders... Enjoy the photos...

Sleepy Escape

In an attempt to free herself from that sleepy prison we call her bed, Mallory collapses on the dresser that aids in her previous escapes...

R.E.M. at the Hollywood Bowl

Jenny and I had fantastic seats at the Hollywood Bowl again - section 212 in the Garden boxes. If it sounds like I'm bragging, well I am - there's not much I can brag about other than the kids, so when we get killer seats to a show like this - I must flaunt it in every one's face...

If you are a fan of R.E.M. check out the set list here - Murmurs

I was able to record 1 song before my camera died - I wish I would have recorded the opening song, as it was a song I asked them to play in a small venue once and after I yelled it out Peter Buck yelled back no... Any who - I recorded another song off their first album "Murmur" called "Sitting Still"

Enjoy!

Monkey Butler, Shaving Cream, Monster face, and Connor and Grant

Funny thing is, Mallory likes to pick this guys nose...

Some how this is a preschool lesson. I think it is teaching kids that making a mess should be fun!

Mallory loves to make a mean face at me and growl like a monster - finally I caught the face on camera!

Fathers and sons outing was a blast - Here is an out of focus shot of both Connor and Grant standing on the "Tree Stomp" as Connor likes to call it.

Cookoo for Twilight

If you don't already know, Jenny and my sister Sarah are CRAZY for anything Stephenie Meyer... They both have read the Twilight series of books too many times to count, and seek for any new info on Twilight Moms website... The cool thing is that they were able to go see some of the movie sets, meet some of the actors, have a vampire bite their necks and baby, see ROB the guy playing Edward, and what ever her name is playing Bella, hang out with like minded women, meet the director, and most importantly meet the author and get multiple books signed...

Long time no post...

It's been a while I know, but I have a great excuse... I was busy quiting my job and getting a new one...

Many of you know that I decided to leave Shimano last month, it was a hard decision. But I'm glad I made the move. I'm working for my good Friend Jeff. I will be selling printing and packaging goods. So far I'm ahead of schedule, I've opened 2 new customers, and I have about 8 on the table that I'm hopeful to move forward on by the end of June.

Any who - here are some photos of the kids...

Connor makes some PJ's... I mean Dr. Two Brains.

I was out of the country most of March (10th to the 19th), and on the afternoon of the 19th while I was hanging out in SFO airport, Jenny emailed me her conversation with Connor - Enjoy...

We were driving home from the gym (oh my gosh, my legs are jello) and this is our conversation:

Connor: "Mom, why does dad wear his underpants to bed?"
Mom: "What do you mean? You wear your underpants to bed?"
Connor: "No I don't."
Mom: "Oh, you mean why doesn't dad wear pajamas to bed?"
Connor: "Yeah, why does he only sleep in his underpants?"
Mom: "I think he gets too hot in pajamas."
Connor: "Oh. Mom, I'm going to get the sewing machine and sew him some special freezing green pajama bottoms so he won't get hot. The pants will have a special spongy pad to keep the pants cold."
Mom: (laughs hysterically) "What a good idea Connor."
Connor: "Mom, I'm going to say, 'Dad' and he's going to say, 'What is it son?' and then I'm going to give him his freezing green pajama pants and he's going to get a big smile on his face and say, 'Thank you so much Dr. Two Brains, I love them.'"

I'm still waiting for the PJ's...

Mallory hits the big time!

I meant to post these before I left for Taiwan and Japan, but late is OK when the pictures are this cute. Little Miss Mallory turned 2 on the 10th. She was given countless princes shoes, a princess wand of power (when she has it, every kid in the house wants a turn with it...), and feather boa (which if it hasn't already been destroyed by the kids, then the dog will surely eat it in the coming weeks).

Here she is casting a spell of cuteness.

Testing out the shoes

Making a birthday wish!

Just being cute!

The California Poppy is back!

The hills surrounding our home are swollen with flowers. We live in a desert and when it rains for an extended period of time the hills turn green with new growth and these California Poppy's show up everywhere. They are just beautiful. There are also some purple flowers high up on the hills - too far to walk up to, but the ones close to the roads served their purpose today, as we got some fantastic photos of the kids. Unfortunately we can rarely get all 3 of them to look into the camera all at the same time. One day, I'll get some skills and figure out how to cut and paste their heads into one nice family photo.
